Dhinal and Sameer, two like-minded businessmen met each other in this year. Their mutual interests in the real estate industry got them together. They wanted to build a company that would undertake research and conceptualisation of real estate projects. The company was formed in this year and named as Brands n Spaces.
This was the time to grow. They wanted to do something more than real estate, and this was why they decided to enter the franchise market. They strongly believed that franchise market was a potential sector they could target. They believed that providing Indian investors an easy way to explore the franchise opportunities in the market will help them build a business that stands strong in the market. Initially, they targeted the local brands, and then wished to approach reputed builders and developers.
The journey of Franchise Insider began in this year. The company was now formed and ready to serve the Indian market. The digital page for the business was designed to let people know more about it. The company first targeted five local brands.
This was the year where progress was made. Franchise Insider managed to add 20+ exclusive brands in its portfolio. During this period, an office was opened in the city of Ahmedabad. The website for the business was launched and people throughout Gujarat became aware about what the business was all about.
The business then launched India’s first ever onsite Franchise Fete to attract potential investors. Franchising fete was created in multiple locations to create awareness.
This year began with a boom. Franchise Insider began with 50 brands in its portfolio and a reach of 2000. It was in this year when Surat’s first Franchise Talk was held and collaboration with International Brand Wheelys was made. The second talk was again made in Surat and the third one was held in Ahmedabad. During this year, the business also took its first step in the food court industry. Towards the end of 2018, a Franchise Mela was organised in Vadodara as well. It was in this year when the company achieved a lot of success by taking a 25-year old dairy from Surat on franchise and helping it open about 5 outlets in a span of just 6 months.
